Independent collaborated with Iowa ad agency J.W. Morton and Los Angeles production company Mechaniks to produce a Super Bowl commercial for TaxACT.com, one of the nation’s leading digital tax preparation services.

The 30-second commercial tells the story of a boy being “totally free” – TaxACT’s primary message.

Independent managed the editorial storytelling, special effects, color correction, sound design and original music composition.

“There were a lot of great ways to tell the story. The real challenge was narrowing down the comedic bits to just thirty seconds,” said Independent principal/editor Jerry Riedel. “We also wanted the music and sound effects to heighten the anxiety and add to the stress that the boy was experiencing,” added Independent founder Randy Bobo.

New York voice over talent Howard Overshown was recently at Independent Studios tracking for upcoming Porsche TV and Radio ads.  Howard is in town performing in “Radio Golf” at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre this spring.  He has been the voice of Porsche for eight years.  Listen for his buttery tones in an ad near you.
