Meet Rob Due (Visual Magician)

RobI haven’t been inside a confessional for over twenty years, so pardon me if some of this sounds repentant.

I will gladly get a drink order started at 3 pm.

I love to cook and will take command of a stove / grill at any party.

I get some of my best ideas, while washing my hair.

Don’t be afraid to ask me to change something. I have pretty thick skin.
BUT, a well timed “Good job.” acts as a nice moisturizer.

I roll my eyes. A lot.

I don’t read often and have poor math skills. Sorry, Mom.

There are Republicans among us. Beware.

GO BEARS!!!!

Relax, it’s just a commercial. – We aren’t running into burning buildings to save lives.

Never look in those boxes in the basement….

without comments

From the desktop of Mr. Randy Bobo…….

It’s amazing just how much stuff a family of four can collect in eighteen years. We moved here with few clothes and a ton of books … not much else. Fast forward eighteen years and the house has reached capacity! Last weekend we started pulling things out of all the storage spaces which can be a tough task. You never know when that piece of foam-core, or that shirt you got from your mother nine Christmas’ ago, that you’ve never worn, might come in handy. However if you screw up enough courage to get rid of some of these treasures, it is quite a cleansing experience.

Throwing the actual boxes away is not so bad, the problem is that you have to look IN the boxes. Here lies the trouble! Open one box and Yikes!! before you know it the day is gone!!

I tried not to look in this particular box, but I just had to … and look what I found! Resting right under a bunch of old paper work was a small reel to reel audio tape box. Ok, I have lots of old tapes in the house. I’ve been in the biz a long time and over the years I have been known to hang on to a tape or two …… for the archives. Well this tape was a forgotten gem! It’s a recording from my college days. My friend Richard Carson (who I haven’t seen in years) wrote this one night while we were “on the air” at our school’s FM radio station. A few years later I was working at Knott’s Berry Farm and we re-wrote the “spot” for an event held there. This little parody was done on a single Reel to Reel tape machine (ok, 2 reel to reel machines) and a sharp razor blade. It must have taken us hours to record and edit. It’s really dumb!
